Who I am

This website is run by Penny Boreham Saban, a psychodynamic therapist working in Oxfordshire and online. I am the data controller for personal information shared through it, and you can contact me about privacy at penboreham@me.com.

What information I collect

If you contact me by email, telephone or through the enquiry form, I receive the details you choose to share: usually your name, email address, telephone number and message.

Please avoid including sensitive medical or personal information in an initial website enquiry. If you do choose to share information about your health, I will use it only to respond to your enquiry.

How I use it

I use enquiry information only to respond to you and, where appropriate, to arrange an initial consultation. I do so because you have asked me to, as a step towards possibly working together. I do not use it for marketing and never sell or share it for anyone else's purposes.

Services that handle information for me

• Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes limited technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Formspree delivers messages sent through the enquiry form to my email inbox and keeps a copy for up to 30 days.

These providers may process information outside the UK. They act only on my instructions and are required to keep it secure.

How long information is kept

Enquiry information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and to meet professional, legal and safeguarding obligations.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information I hold about you, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, or ask for information to be deleted where no legal or professional reason requires it to be retained. You may also object to, or ask me to restrict, how I use it. To make a request, email penboreham@me.com.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you have the right to complain to the UK data protection regulator, the ICO.
